Exercise Is Medicine
Exercising is one of the best and healthiest habits you can have in your life for so many reasons other than your physique. Exercise is not only proven to help manage so many medical conditions, but also preventing them as well. Serious diseases and conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, certain types of cancer, and especially mental health conditions like anxiety and depression can be prevented or better regulated by exercising.
As a type 1 diabetic, exercise has made a huge impact in my life in a positive way over the past several years. Exercise helps me maintain optimal glucose levels, it definitely gives me an increase in energy, and especially helps with my mental health. Exercise is medicine! Many people who have conditions like the ones listed above and more are told by their doctors to exercise because it can provide life changing results!
If you are someone who "doesn't have time to exercise", my best piece of advice is any amount of exercise is better than none. If you don't have time to go to the gym, or are not someone who enjoys weightlifting, try performing a few body weight exercises at home. It won't be to the caliber of a full workout but it is still definitely better than doing no exercise. If you are someone who does not enjoy resistance training workouts, try going for a walk. Getting your steps in everyday can add up and have a major impact!
For some people this can mean doing 10 squats per day and thats it or one lap around the block. The important thing to note is that only doing 10 squats or walking one lap around the block is better than performing no exercise at all! Platinum Training has experience working with advanced weightlifters, and people with no exercise experience. No matter your current level of experience, we can help!
