The Cause & Fix Of Back Pain
Every nerve in our body stems from somewhere in our spine
If our spine is not held in a stable position, that gives it room to move around giving it potential to poke on one or more of the many nerves in our body
What needs to happen to instill stability in our spine?
You need to perform core stability exercises frequently!
If your core becomes strong and stable, it will lock your spine in a neutral position freeing any nerves from being pinched by your vertebrae or intervertebral disks
You can do crunches, leg raises, and sit-ups all you want but this will never help with back pain, it can actually even make it worse
Core strengthening exercises and core stability exercises are completely different
Strengthening exercises encourage spinal movement while stability exercises challenge the ability to not move your spine when it wants to
Pallof presses, bird dogs, dead bugs, farmer carries, planks and side planks are all amazing examples of core stability exercises. They challenge your core to hold your spine in place without moving
While when you do crunches or leg lifts you are flexing and extending at the spine... Completely different!
Whether you have low, mid, or upper back pain, stabilizing your spine is the key in most cases, especially during movements like squats, bench press, and deadlifts
Every lift you do, you should first start by taking a deep 360 degree breath around your trunk and brace your core as tight as possible... The part many people struggle with is maintaining that brace throughout the entire set of the exercise
Ice, heat, and steroid shots are like putting duct tape over a hole in your tire, they are temporary fixes that don't solve the root issue of your pain
