The Formula For Fitness Success
We all know that one person when we see them they look like a genetic freak of nature
I admit when I was younger I always thought those people were lucky
As I've grown and learned more in the gym I realized how I couldn't have had been more wrong and that is a very immature way of thinking
It was an excuse I made to make myself feel better because I knew deep down other people were just working harder than me
Fitness is very very simple!
You must first learn to remove your emotions from your decision making on exercise and nutrition
It is not easy, but just like anything else with practice it can become easier and more sustainable
The gap from where you currently are and where you want to be physically is a matter of inputs and outputs... The more you put into this process the more you will get out in the future
It really is that simple
The person you see with an amazing physique has disciplined themself to workout everyday regardless of how little time they have or how tired they are...
That same person has the discipline to eat quality & healthy food, not what they have a craving for
Don't do what's easiest in the moment (skipping a workout, or eating junk food) do what will matter and more of an impact in the future!
Going to the gym today will cultivate the results you see in a year from now. Eating healthier will not make you lose weight right away, but it will make losing body fat much much easier in a year as well
Just like eating crap food and skipping workouts doesn't show right away, it takes time
Skipping a workout and eating fast food is instant gratification. It is easy and feels good in the moment, but you regret it later. You must train your mind and body to chase delayed gratification. Things that won't make a difference today, but a major difference in the future.
The secret formula for fitness success:
Hard work + consistency + patience = results
Hard work comes from performing a workout that challenges you and is efficient, not doing fancy looking exercises you see people posting on social media...
Consistency means working out every single day you plan on in your program no matter how tired you feel, how crunched on time you are, or how much you want to or not...
Patience is arguably the most important part because so many people follow the first two steps but quit before any real progress is made...
Results take time, and often they take longer than we plan... DON'T QUIT!
It's like trying to grow a tree. First you plant the seed and you water it every single day and let it get sunshine until it grows. If you only water the seed on the days you feel like it the tree will never grow. Our bodies are the same exact way!
