The Mental Battle In Fitness

The Mental Battle In Fitness

When that alarm clock goes off and the last thing you want to do is go to the gym, it starts off as a mental battle before it becomes physical

"sleep in, I'll to the gym tomorrow" or "you had a long day, let's skip the gym today and I'll train extra hard tomorrow"

These are all mental conversations we have inside our heads before we even walk into the gym...

You will be uncomfortable, tired, it will be inconvenient and disruptive to your schedule at times... But the more you do it the easier it will become

It's like jumping into a cold swimming pool... At first it starts off freezing, but after some time you get used to it and it becomes more tolerable

Going to the gym and making it a consistent daily habit is the same exact way

It's like rolling a snowball through the snow, the further you go, the bigger it gets

This is how our mental toughness gets the more we force ourselves to workout on the days we need to, but don't want to

Discipline is not something people are lucky to have or born with, it is created and increases the more we do things that need to be done we just don't want to do

There are many days you aren't going to want to workout... Unless it's a designated rest day, you need to go!

The more this occurs and you follow through, the more discipline you will build and the easier it will become over time

Don't listen to the voice trying to protect you, that pulls you into your comfort zone... Do what is right!

When your mind becomes stronger so will your physical body, and it will help improve every single other area of your life!

Nobody ever goes to the gym and regrets it afterwards, but many people skip the gym daily and regret the toll it takes on the mind and body

If you are not going to the gym because you are injured or unsure what to do, let Platinum Training help!
