Tired Of Not Seeing Results?
There are many more people who workout and don't ever see results compared to people who do... Why is that?
The people who complain they're not seeing results are usually the ones who swear they are doing everything they should be when it comes to exercising and nutrition... After digging deeper into many people's situations they tend to expose exactly why they don't see any results
The most common reasons people don't see results even when they train and diet
1. Not consistent
If you only workout when you feel like it you will likely never see results. You need to learn to develop discipline and workout everyday you're supposed to whether you want to or not. This is the #1 tip I have for anyone to see the progress they are looking for no matter what your goals are. Consistency = results
2. Only training and dieting during the week
So many people work hard during the week and when the weekend rolls around it's back to their old habits of eating like crap and not exercising. If you only workout and diet Monday - Friday that is only 5 out of 7 days per week. 5/7 = 71%. If you want to see progress and results you're going to need better than a C work ethic.
Lots of people feel like they are working so hard and it is not easy to hear that you are going to need to work harder for a longer time but that is simply the reality. If you want to reach your goals as bad as you say you would be willing to work harder, stay more consistent and make whatever sacrifices may be necessary for your situation. If you are not seeing results and keep doing what you are currently doing how can you possibly expect a different outcome?
3. You don't push yourself hard enough
Just because you go to the gym and workout does not mean anything. Your workouts should not be easy. If you want to see results you need to work at a high intensity and PUSH YOURSELF. This is where real gains are made! Sweat, fatigue, burning and discomfort are required to increase your strength, build muscle, and lose weight... Make discomfort become your friend when it comes to training or else you will not see the results you want.
4. You don't give the process enough time
I can't tell you how many clients I've worked with for a few months and they get discouraged when they don't see results as fast as they'd like and you never see them again from then on. Those same people envy others at the gym who are strong and it great shape. The fit person you see lifting heavy weight at the gym did not get there in a few months, and likely not even a few years. They have been staying consistent, eating healthy, and training hard for many years on end without giving up. Our bodies are very complex and the bigger the changes we want to make, the longer it is going to take. If you violate any of the above topics, you are only self sabotaging yourself and going to make the process take even longer.
5. You feel sorry for yourself
Nobody but you cares if you are fat, weak, out of shape, or whatever you feel about your current self. It is up to you to make the changes, develop discipline and a strong work ethic. You can take as many shortcuts as you want... Taking diet pills, getting surgery, or come up with excuses as to why you cannot make the changes you want. At the end of the day you need to take responsibility and ownership for your condition. There are ZERO shortcuts or easy routes when it comes to health and fitness. Results made easily are results lost easily. The longer it takes you to realize this the longer it will be for you to see your results.
Someone out there has it 10X harder than you and still does 10X better than you. Do you really think nobody else in the world works 40, 50 or 60 hours a week and is in good shape?
Do you really think nobody else is in school and under a ton of stress that doesn't consistently train hard and eat healthy?
Do you really think nobody else has kids and a family and is not in good shape?
If so your expectations are very unrealistic and it is an ignorant way to think about other people.
Strengthen your mindset and get honest with yourself about your current situation and what changes you should make. Sacrifices will be necessary.
Early mornings, late nights, not eating out when your family wants to, skipping nights out drinking with your friends will all be required.
If you say "no way" to those you can expect to not see results like you have been.
Some of these topics might hurt your feelings or make you bitter but it is reality and the truth is not always easy to hear.
